Genes & Development Publishes research papers of general interest and biological significance in molecular biology, molecular genetics, and developmental biology. |
Journal of Genetics Published by the American Genetic Association since 1905. The focus has traditionally been on organismal genetics, but increasingly the journal contains articles on gene action and regulation as well as transmission; cytogenetics; genome organization and comparative gene mapping; medical, agricultural and conservation genetics; evolution; the genetics of biodiversity; and computer algorithms. |
Nature Genetics International journal for genetic research with a particular emphasis on human and mammalian genetics. |
Genome Research The journal focuses on genome studies in all species, including genetic and physical mapping, DNA sequencing, genome-based analyses of biological processes, gene discovery, comparative genome analyses, evolution studies, forensics, informatics, statistical and mathematical methods, genome structure and function, and technological innovations and applications. |
JOURNALS IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY |
EMBO Journal Dedicated to the publication ofmanuscripts from the field of molecular biology inits broadest sense. |
Nucleic Acids Research Publishes papers onmethods, RNA, structural biology, surveys andsummaries, molecular biology, enzymology, chemistry, and genome structure and mapping. |

The August 2009 issue of PLoS Genetics features a cover image illustrating the article by Genetics faculty members Ravi Palanivelu and David Mount.
Felicia Goodrum was the only professor in Arizona honored with the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. Goodrum, who works in the departments of immunobiology and molecular and cellular biology and is a member of the Genetics GIDP faculty, BIO5 Institute and Arizona Cancer Center, studies the human cytomegalovirus, or HGMV. |
